Youth Job Connection
The Youth Job Connection is a program for youth between the ages of 15 and 29. As a participant, you receive 60 hours of paid classroom training to learn job search and employment readiness skills. In addition, workshop facilitators teach you important life skills and introduce you to community services that can support you throughout your career. Following the classroom training, you will receive a paid job placement with access to mentorship, job coaching and financial support for needs such as transportation, work clothing and tools.
Youth Job Connection Summer
The Youth Job Connection Summer program is available for youth between the ages of 15 and 18. The program provides you with 20 hours of paid training to prepare you for the workforce as well as a summer job that lasts for up to eight weeks. Mentorship, job coaching and help returning to school are also offered. To qualify, you must be a high school student planning to stay in or return to school, or to move on to post-secondary education.
Youth Job Link
Youth Job Link is offered to youth between the ages of 15 and 29 who are wishing to learn how to plan their careers and transition to the labour market. You can be in school or not, and you don’t have to be unemployed to get help. Through the program you will engage in career exploration, develop job search and workplace readiness skills and build valuable life skills. The program also helps to connect you with local employers who are looking for someone with your qualifications and interests.
